Giving life to a memory of someone who has left us

I had a question posed to me about a pair of diamond studs that was left from a loved one who left us too soon.

A big wedding anniversary was coming up so my suggestion to the lovely man who was making this item for his mother that we should create a new memory with the old jewelry. Ruby is the 40th Anniversary gift.

I asked what kind of jewelry she wears everyday and decided that a necklace was what she should add to that everyday wear.

He and his father thought it was a great idea.

Off I went and the result was something not too fancy but substantial looking enough.

Removing the diamonds from their mountings.

As a Trick, I gave them back the mountings in its original box so when she opens it, she will think the diamonds are gone!
